Anterior Thigh Circumflex Vein
Varicose Veins Before & After
This patient presents with a common varicose vein, which phlebologists refer to as the Anterior Thigh Circumflex Vein or Antero-Lateral Thigh Vein. This varicose vein has developed over many years. Duplex ultrasound examination has determined that this vein feeds into the deeper “Great Saphenous Vein”. As such, this patient was offered Endovenous Laser Ablation of the Great Saphenous Vein followed by Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy of the Anterior Thigh Circumflex Vein. Her final photo was taken at 8 months post treatment.
