Wearing Jeans at the Beach?

Another summer done. And your legs held you back…again.

You know how it goes.

The careful outfit choices. Trousers when everyone else is in shorts. Sitting in the shade while the kids are in the water. Finding reasons to stay covered up when everything around you says summer.

And now winter is here, and somewhere in the back of your mind is that thought:

“I don’t want to do that again next summer.”

You don’t have to.

The first step isn’t treatment. It isn’t a big commitment or an unknown procedure. It’s simply finding out. Properly, clearly, and once and for all what is actually going on with your veins, and what can realistically be done about it.

That’s exactly what the Comprehensive Vein Assessment was designed to give you.

Real answers. A clear plan. And enough time to do something about it before next summer.

A woman sitting on a chair touches her lower leg, which shows visible varicose veins.

One Appointment. Real Answers. Complete Clarity.

The Comprehensive Vein Assessment is a thorough 60–90 minute appointment designed to give you a complete picture of your vein health. What’s happening, why it’s happening, and exactly what can be done about it.

Here’s what’s included:

R

Clinical examination of your varicose veins

A thorough hands-on assessment to understand what you’re experiencing and where.
R

Duplex ultrasound scan

This shows us what’s happening deep beneath the surface of your skin identifying the root cause of your condition, not just what’s visible.

R

Personal consultation with Dr Peter Paraskevas

Dr Peter reviews every finding with you personally. In plain language, with time for your questions. No rushing. No confusion.
R

Your personalised treatment plan

A document prepared specifically for your condition, outlining the recommended approach, the treatment timeline, with the full costs, including all applicable Medicare rebates.
In most cases, Dr Peter will walk you through your varicose vein treatment plan personally, before you leave.

The Result?

You walk out knowing exactly what’s going on with your veins, what your options are, and what it will cost to treat them –  down to the dollar, including your rebates.

No guesswork. No surprises. No obligation to proceed with treatment.

For $215 out-of-pocket after Medicare rebates

(Out-of-pocket cost will be confirmed at time of booking)

Meet Dr Peter Paraskevas

The founder of Vein Health Medical Clinic

“I became a phlebologist because venous disease is one of those conditions where the gap between how much a patient suffers and how treatable their condition actually is, is enormous.

People come to me having lived with aching, heavy legs for years. They’ve been embarrassed by how their legs look. They’ve stopped doing things they love. And in many cases, what’s causing all of that is entirely treatable with a minimally invasive procedure they can walk in and walk out of.

That gap,  between unnecessary suffering and a straightforward solution,  is what gets me out of bed every morning.

I founded Vein Health Clinic because I wanted to build a place where patients received the kind of thorough, considered care that this condition deserves. Not a quick look and a generic plan, but a genuine assessment that identifies the root cause of what’s happening, and a treatment approach that’s built specifically around you.

I’ve been performing vein treatments since 2005 and have completed over 1,000 endovenous laser ablation procedures. I specialise in complex venous cases. The ones that require careful planning, multiple treatment approaches, and a detailed understanding of vascular ultrasound. I trained in diagnostic ultrasound specifically because I wanted to understand my patients’ conditions at the deepest possible level and not just rely on someone else’s interpretation.

I have a dedicated team for both ultrasound diagnosis and treatment, and our clinic is a recognised training centre for phlebology in Victoria.

What I can promise you is this: when you come in for your Comprehensive Vein Assessment, I will give you my full attention, my honest assessment, and a clear plan specific to you, not a template. You’ll leave knowing exactly where you stand.”

His Role in Shaping Vein Care in Australia

Dr Peter currently holds two senior positions within the Australasian College of Phlebology, an important training and credentialing body for phlebologists in Australia and New Zealand.

As Chief Censor, he chairs the Board of Censors, which holds overall responsibility for managing the examination and assessment process for doctors training through the College. He coordinates the planning and execution of all College examinations for trainees at each level.

As Chief Medical Officer, he oversees the organisation and management of the College’s educational committees, coordinates examination days, and oversees the development of examination papers for both written and oral assessments.

These are roles he holds not because vein treatment is his business, but because the standard of care in this field matters to him personally.
